My name is Immanuela Meijer. I’m a creative and editorial strategist with over fourteen years of experience guiding complex projects from early ideas to finished work.

My strength lies in helping authors and creative teams bring clarity and cohesion to what they’re trying to say. I’m especially drawn to projects that begin with a strong vision but need structure, refinement, or a more defined voice to fully come through.

In my work, I focus on the big picture—shaping direction, strengthening structure, and supporting the development of ideas—while also ensuring that the final result feels intentional and aligned.

After many years in a long-term role, I transitioned into independent work to have greater flexibility and to collaborate more directly and thoughtfully with clients. I now partner with a select number of individuals and teams who value depth, clarity, and meaningful creative process.

Based in Chicago, I’m continually inspired by the city’s artistic and cultural landscape, which informs both my work and the kinds of projects I’m drawn to.
